Phantom Tour Extended to Birmingham in 2013

The Phantom of the Opera tour has been extended by eight weeks and will play at the Birmingham Hippodrome from March 13 – May 4 2013, the longest stop of the tour. Current scheduling outlined the tour was to end at Southampton’s Mayflower on February 16 but the announcement of the Hippodrome’s new season details the extension. Casting details are yet to be announced but it is expected the Phantom will be performed by Earl Carpenter.

“Birmingham Hippodrome’s 2012/13 season features a packed programme of world class productions and international performers, entertaining audiences both on and off stage,” commented Stuart Griffiths, Chief Executive of Birmingham Hippodrome. “One of the major highlights for 2013 is Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera.”

Tickets are on sale from May 8 for Friends Priority. General sale commences on May 17 (online) and May 21 (phone and counter). Group sales begin a week earlier on May 14.
