24 Hour Plays project comes to Bath’s Rondo Theatre in July

At 10pm on Thursday 11 July 2013, five writers meet for the first time and have until 8am the following morning to write a brand new 20 minute play for 4 actors they have never met.

At 9am on Friday 12 July, five Directors meet for the first time and are allocated one of these plays each. They meet their cast of four actors for the first time, rehearse and at 8pm that night, perform without scripts in front of a paying audience.

Kevin Spacey calls it, “An adrenaline rush like no other!” That rush comes to Bath’s Rondo Theatre in July.
Bristol based Theatre Company Roughhouse Theatre have announced the Creative Team behind their 2013 24 Hour Play Project in association with Bath’s Rondo Theatre.

The line-up includes David Lockwood (Artistic Director of Exeter’s Bike Shed Theatre), Aardman Animation’s Sara Barbas, Ian McGlynn (Rondo Theatre Artistic Director), Film4.com Editor and Film 2013 guest presenter Catherine Bray and Royal Court Young Writer Graduate Alice Nicholas.

Roughhouse Theatre produced their first 24 Hour Play Project at Theatre Royal Bath in 2011.
