Danielle Hope is new Les Mis Eponine, Tam Mutu plays Javert

Danielle Hope, winner of the BBC and Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for a Dorothy, will join the West End cast of Les Miserables, playing Eponine alongside Tam Mutu as Javert.

The pair join the recently announced Geronimo Rauch who will play Jean Valjean and take up their roles at the Queen's Theatre on 18 June 2012.

Danielle Hope made her professional debut in The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium having won the BBC's search for a Dorothy, Over the Rainbow. Hope released charity single of "Over the Rainbow" in aid of the BBC Performing Arts Fund and Prostate UK.

Tam Mutu most recently played the Phantom in Love Never Dies. His other theatre credits include Faustus for Headlong Theatre Company, The Royal Hunt of the Sun, Love’s Labour’s Lost, Anything Goes and South Pacific, all at the National Theatre, Orange Peel at the Royal Court, East at Leicester Haymarket, Romeo and Juliet and King Lear at the Royal Shakespeare Company, As You Like it, Romeo and Juliet and Oh What a Lovely War at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre.

Les Miserables originally opened in London at the Barbican Theatre on 8 October 1985, transferred to the Palace Theatre on 4 December 1985 and moved to its current home at the Queen’s Theatre on 3 April 2004. It has been seen by nearly 60 million people worldwide in 42 countries and in 21 languages.
