Paul Keating received his first Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical nomination for the title role in the West End premiere of Pete Townsend’s musical Tommy. He received a second Olivier nomination as Straight Dave in the 2001 world premiere of the musical Closer to Heaven by Jonathan Harvey and Pet  Shop Boys.

His other West End roles include Seymour in the 2006-7 production of Little Shop of Horrors, John in Tick, Tick… Boom!, Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, Ethan Girard in The Full Monty, Agon in La Cava, and Buttons in Stephen Fry’s Cinderella at the Old Vic, Uncle Frank in the European premiere of Little Miss Sunshine by James Lapine and William Finn, the title role in Kenny Morgan, Hector MacQueen in Agatha Christie’s Murder On the Orient Express.

Television roles include Heterosexuality and Metrosexuality, both by Rikki Beadle Blair (Channel 4).
