The Injustice to Tou O

About the Show

A stunning re-imagining of a thirteenth century supernatural tale of love and intrigue, guilt and redemption, murder, false accusation and the making and undoing of curses. This production skilfully integrates physical performance, text, film and live music and asks us to confront our relationship with personal choice and our own destiny. The tale of Tou O is based on the northern Chinese dramatist Kwan Hanqing’s classic text.
