This women’s theatre project has been devised over video link-up between London and Lebanon to form part of Refugee Week. The three-month project culminates in two simultaneous public performances: one at Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room and the other in a theatre in Beirut, with a live video link between them. The two groups of women use technology to create a shared creative space where a shared physical space isn’t impossible. Participants and performers come from a refugee or asylum-seeking background, and the process is led by Seenaryo, in partnership with Women Now for Development, Counterpoints Arts and Southbank Centre.
