About the Show

Starting with the unfortunate story of how one young man flew too close to the sun, we then race through the middle ages to see how Da Vinci tried to make the world’s first helicopter. Our show touches down in 19th century France to see how two brothers, filled with hot air, made a balloon fly, before a connecting flight to Kitty Hawk, USA where two more brothers made a discovery that finally gave humanity its wings.Featuring a host of historical characters and live experiments, Wings will also have an accompanying workshop where the audience get to make their very own hot air balloons.
