In 2025, we worked extra hard behind the scenes, putting together an extensive encyclopedia of who’s who in the West End and beyond.
If you’re not familiar, be sure to check out our Stage Names directory. Plus, each month we tally up the most clicked names and showcase them in our WhosOnTrend features.
Now the time has come to reveal the most viewed names of the year! Without further ado…

Diego Andres Rodriguez made his West End debut this summer as Che in Jamie Lloyd’s hit revival of Evita. Ever since, he has been high flying and adored – so much so that he’s secured a WhatsOnStage Award nomination!

There’s no way that the theatre world can let her go – Samantha Barks is a bona fide star! In 2025 alone, she won the Masked Singer, had her performance as Elsa immortalised on a Disney Plus recording, embarked on a tour, and was announced as originating the role of Charity Barnum in the world premiere of The Greatest Showman! She’s just the coolest.

Call us corny, but we’re pretty proud of Ben Joyce this year! The performer starred in both the UK premiere of Shucked as Beau and the concert production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, with both shows now up for WhatsOnStage Awards. Looking forward, he’ll play Phillip Carlyle in The Greatest Showman in Bristol next year.

We can’t tell you it’s not true – Vivienne Carlyle has made the top ten! The much-loved Blood Brothers alum is dancing like Marilyn Monroe as Mrs Johnstone in the ongoing tour of the musical. Special shout-out also to Sean Jones, who wasn’t far behind.

Playing the shining diamond, Satine, in the very first UK tour of Moulin Rouge! has been Verity Thompson. She’s spending the festive season in Dublin with the show, which continues to be spectacular, spectacular!

Kicking off the top five is Katie Hall, who climbed the ranks right at the last minute as soon as she was announced to be the next toast of Mayfair! The Les Misérables star will be playing Sally Bowles at the Kit Kat Club at the start of 2026.

Like a bat out of hell, Glenn Adamson has been taking his Strat up and down the country in the ‘arena-style’ touring production of the Jim Steinman and Meatloaf rock musical! He’s had our readers all revved up, in a good way.

Back in May, a trio of country pop singers who love musical theatre represented the UK at Eurovision! One third of Remember Monday is theatre choreographer, Charlotte Steele, who surely must be thinking “What The Hell Just Happened?” after a wonderfully impressive year.

Following almost a year of speculation, Bethany Weaver was finally confirmed as playing Dorothy in the Wicked: For Good movie. Her journey down the yellow brick road landed her in second place!

A massive round of a-paws! Sitting proudly in the top spot is Arti Shah, who has played a massive part in making Paddington Bear come to life in the most magical way in the West End. She, as the one stage performer, shares the role of the most famous bear with James Hameed (Paddington off-stage performer and remote puppeteer) and Arti Shah (Paddington on-stage performer), and both are nominated jointly for a WhatsOnStage Award, with the show breaking records for its number of nominations.
