”The Last Tango” embarks on a UK tour in September
Strictly Come Dancing stars Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace have announced their "final ever theatre show", The Last Tango, which opens in September 2015 ahead of a 33-week tour.
The pair, whose previous production Midnight Tango and Dance 'Til Dawn both played the West End, will say farewell in their "most moving production yet", according to press material.
"It's going to be intimate, intense and full of our award-winning Argentine tango," said Flavia Cacace. "The Last Tango is going to showcase our best work and most beautiful dance moves before we finally say farewell to theatre."
Vincent Simone added: "The last few years have been amazing – we've loved it. It may be our final theatre tour but we're going to go out with a bang."
The Last Tango is directed by Olivier Award-winning choreographer and director Karen Bruce and produced by Adam Spiegel Productions.
It opens at the Aylesbury Waterside from 17 to 19 September before visiting: Birmingham, Sheffield, Richmond, Newcastle, Dartford, Norwich, Manchester, Brighton, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Southend, Bristol, Sunderland, Wimbledon, Crawley, Woking, Cardiff, Northampton, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Canterbury, Leicester, Plymouth, Leeds, Darlington, Inverness, Dublin, Aberdeen, Blackpool, Stoke, Oxford and Southampton.
