Casting has been revealed for Morgan Lloyd Malcolm’s new adaptation of The Turn of the Screw.
Directed by Nicky Allpress, the production will debut this autumn at Arcola Theatre, followed by an extensive UK tour.
Leading the cast are Amy Tara as the Governess, Toby Beynon as Miles and Quint, Jim Fish as the Man/Master, and Katy Slater as Mrs Grose. The company is completed by Kathleen McAuley Irvine as Flora/Jessel and Janita Mikkola as ensemble.
Based on the seminal ghost story by Henry James, The Turn of the Screw follows a governess who takes up a post caring for two children in a remote house – with spooky goings on. It is presented by Arcola Theatre and Blackeyed Theatre and will run in London from 11 September to 10 October before touring.
The creative team features lighting designer Oliver McNally, set and costume designer Matthew Cassar, sound designer Hattie North, illusionist Wayne Fox, intimacy and movement director Mandy Gordon and assistant director Emma Wilkinson. A casting director was not disclosed.
