The National Theatre celebrates final River Stage weekend

The bank holiday weekend saw a bumper line-up of free dance, theatre and music on the South Bank

The National Theatre hosted a final bumper weekend on the River Stage, bringing together musical, theatrical and dance acts from across the UK as part of the free festival.

The weekend saw live performances from the likes of Little Bulb Theatre, The Fontanelles, Phil King as well as new dance previews from Tavaziva. The venue also hosted a free screening of the National's recent production of Twelfth Night, starring Tamsin Grieg and Oliver Chris.

The River Stage festival, based adjacent to the National Theatre on the South Bank has been curated by visiting companies including WOMAD, HOME, Rambert and The Glory over the month of August.
