May the odds be ever in your favour at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre!

Last night, we took a trip to Panem (also known as the brand-new Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre in London) as we were invited to attend the official opening of The Hunger Games.
The much-anticipated stage version of Suzanne Collins’ popular franchise is adapted by Conor McPherson and directed by Matthew Dunster, and sees audience members immersed in its dystopian world.
We caught up with leading lady Mia Carragher (who plays Katniss Everdeen), co-star Euan Garrett (Peeta Mellark) and producers Tristan Baker and Oliver Royds for an in-depth dive into the creative choices and technical logistics of simultaneously putting together a multifaceted production and building an entire theatre from scratch.

The London cast of The Hunger Games also includes Joshua Lacey as Haymitch Abernathy. Tristan Waterson as Gale Hawthorne, Sophia Ally as Primrose Everdeen and Ruth Everett as Mrs Everdeen. Tamsin Carroll plays Effie Trinket, while Stavros Demetraki plays Caesar Flickerman and Nathan Ives-Moiba plays Cinna. The role of President Snow is played by John Malkovich, appearing via video screen.
