Jack Blume, musical supervisor of The Choir of Man, will collaborate with over 350 members of two UK community choirs for a one-off performance at London’s Arts Theatre on Sunday 20 July.

The singers, from Pop Chorus in Suffolk and Pop Voices in the West Midlands, will join the cast on stage to perform Blume’s arrangement of Sia’s “Chandelier.”

In the run-up to the event, Blume held workshops with both choirs to rehearse the number, which is featured in the ongoing West End production.

The choirs will attend the evening’s performance, hear “Chandelier” sung in the context of the show, and then join the cast to sing the piece together.

The Choir of Man is currently running at the Arts Theatre in London, where it is booking until 4 January 2026. The show, set in a fictional pub called The Jungle, combines pop hits with live tap dance, spoken word and more. Songs featured in the show include tracks by Sia, Queen, Adele, and Avicii.

The production was created by Nic Doodson and Andrew Kay, with Doodson also directing. Musical supervision, orchestrations and vocal arrangements are by Blume. The show has toured internationally and been seen by over 280,000 audience members in the West End.

The Pop Voices Choir was founded in 2013 and now includes over 500 members across several locations. Pop Chorus, formed in 2012, has grown to more than 430 members in seven groups across Suffolk. Both choirs operate with a focus on accessibility and wellbeing.

Anya Small, director of the Pop Voices Choir, said: “The Choir of Man show itself demonstrates the power of community and song in one and the choir are absolutely elated and excited, not only to see the show, but to be singing with the cast such a beautiful arrangement of “Chandelier.” I have seen the show numerous times and can’t wait to see the reaction of the choir when they hear the cast in full swing. It will be a real highlight of our choir experiences so far!”

Yula Andrews, director of Pop Chorus, added, “I’m very proud to say that I made the suggestion for us to approach The Choir Of Man about the possibility of having an entire performance to ourselves and then cheekily ask if we could sing with the cast! Anya and I have been friends for almost 20 years and love to collaborate on projects with our choirs.

“We are both passionate advocates of the benefits of singing in groups. We’re almost evangelical in our belief that everyone who wants to, should be able to have the opportunity to sing with others and experience the joy, friendship, sense of achievement and massive boost to wellbeing that it brings.”
