Further casting has been announced for the Liverpool Everyman revival of Sweeney Todd.

Joining Liam Tobin in the show will be Kacey Ainsworth (EastEnders) as Mrs Lovett, Paul Duckworth (Paint Your Wagon) as Judge Turpin, Dean Nolan (Big Fish) as Pirelli, Mark Rice-Oxley (Bright Phoenix) as the Beadle, Keziah Joseph (The Jungle Book) as Johanna, Shiv Rabheru as Toby and Bryan Parry as Anthony. Two further cast members are to be announced.

Director Nick Bagnall said: "Most productions of Sweeney Todd have around 25 to 30 cast members, but our ensemble will include just nine talented actors who can sing for this production. Adding to the fact that we will be performing it in the round, this will be stripped-back, rough, hard-edged, soulful and a show tailor-made for Everyman audiences."

Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's musical about the bloodthirsty demon barber of Fleet Street (portrayed by Tobin) runs from 12 April to 18 May, and has set and costume design by Michael Vale, sound by Ian Davies, musical direction by Tarek Merchant, assistant set and costume by Kirsty Barlow and casting by Sophie Parrott.
