Nothing beats attending live theatre, but sitting down in front of a film or pro-shot capture is never a bad call, especially at Christmas time.

After scouring through What’s on TV (the magazine, no relation), we’ve assembled an array of live stage broadcasts or theatre-adjacent shows/films coming over the next ten days or so.

Some hot tips include Strange Journey, the documentary about the making of the Rocky Horror Show, as well as the Tea with Judi Dench on 22 December.

We’ve already given a comprehensive run-down of the BBC’s festive offerings this year, including the Barbican production of Kiss Me, Kate.
