Playwright Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time) is to lead the latest in a series of live-streamed online workshops at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre.

Stephens's workshop Dramatic Action, which focuses on his play Blindsided, will take place on 17 March from 6pm.

According to the venue, the session will "explore how a sense of urgency and momentum can be created in a piece of writing. It looks at ways of creating an intense interaction between characters and providing an audience with a theatrical journey and a unique experience."

The workshops are designed to "inspire, provoke, challenge and support" writers to create new work to submit for the 2015 Bruntwood Playwriting Competition.

Stephens's session will be viewable online through the Bruntwood website.
