Are you bound for the Savoy?

Paddington The Musical has announced a casting call for two key supporting roles.
First teased in 2023, the show will receive its world premiere this autumn at the Savoy Theatre, beginning performances on 1 November.
Adapted from the much-loved books by Michael Bond and the award-winning StudioCanal films, the show will have music and lyrics by Tom Fletcher. Jessica Swale writes the book and direction is by Luke Sheppard.
The musical will tell the story of the iconic bear, arriving in London from Peru and in search of somewhere to call home. It will feature a number of original characters alongside familiar favourites.
Speaking of characters, a new casting call is on the look-out for two roles – boys aged 10 to 12 years to play Jonathan Brown, the youngest son in the central Brown family as well as a male performer ages 15 to 20 to play “Tony”, who in the film adaptation is Judy’s supposed love interest. We’ve embedded the casting call notice below.
For the role of Jonathan, the production has emphasised the need for strong diction for “fast and wordy” sections, as well as movement experience.
