
The Olivier Awards will be broadcast on the BBC this year.
The event, which celebrates London and West End-based theatre as well as opera, dance and family shows, runs annually in the capital.
Once again, the event will take place at the Royal Albert Hall, with a date set for 12 April 2026. It marks its 50th anniversary.
A highlights package will be presented on BBC 2 later that evening.
This year’s headline partner is Cunard. Katie McAlister, president of Cunard, said that the company “has long celebrated the very best in art, culture and exceptional entertainment experiences,” adding, “We are incredibly proud to be the Headline Partner of the Olivier Awards – the UK’s most prestigious stage honours. This partnership reflects our shared passion for outstanding performance, storytelling, and British heritage, both on land and at sea.”
With regards to the broadcast, Kash Bennett, president of the Society of London Theatre, said: “I am thrilled that the Olivier Awards are working with the BBC for our 50th anniversary. This prestigious broadcast partnership enables us to shine a spotlight on the past fifty years of London theatre and the vitality of arts and culture.”

Nominations will be announced in due course, along with the hosts and performers. Tickets for the Olivier Awards are on sale now.
