Daniel’s Husband by Michael McKeever will receive its UK premiere at the Marylebone Theatre this winter.

The play centres on Daniel and Mitchell, a couple whose carefully constructed life is disrupted by an unforeseen crisis. Running from 4 December 2025 to 10 January 2026, the production is directed by Alan Souza and presented by Plastered Productions.

First staged in 2015 at Island City Stage in Wilton Manors, Daniel’s Husband went on to win three Carbonell Awards including Best New Work. It was later produced at New York’s Cherry Lane Theatre in 2017, where it was nominated for an Off-Broadway Alliance Award, before transferring to the Westside Theatre the following year. The play has since been produced in various locations across the US and internationally.

The creative team for the London production includes Lee Newby (set and costume design), Jamie Platt (lighting design), Sarah Weltman (sound design), and Arthur Carrington (casting). Steph Pyne Design handles artwork, with general management by James Steel Productions and production management by Charlie Rayner for Production Solutions Group.

The production marks the first London outing from Plastered Productions LTD, and is executive produced by James Steel.
