New musical theatre chat show hosted by Elaine Paige coming to Sky Arts

Elaine Paige is to front a new chat show for Sky Arts which will see interviews and performances from a host of musical theatre stars.

WhatsOnStage Award winner Scarlett Strallen will feature in one of the episodes as will Leigh Zimmerman, John Owen Jones and Hannah Waddingham. Trevor Nunn will also appear on the show.

Paige will perform in each episode as will a "rising star" of musical theatre, who Paige will mentor throughout the series.

Talking about the series Paige said: "I look forward to welcoming some of my friends and colleagues to the show and singing not only some new songs but some of my all-time classics."

The series, commissioned by Deborah Sergeant, commissioning editor of Sky Entertainment, is produced by the same company as the recent Channel 4 documentary The Sound of Musicals, Jamie Oliver’s production company Fresh One.
