New casting has been announced for the UK tour of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg's hit musical Miss Saigon.

From 30 April, Elana Martin will join the cast as Ellen and Aicelle Santos will play Gigi. Further new cast members include Iroy Abesamis, Jonathon Bentley, Devine Cresswell, Ross Lee Fowkes, Yukina Hasebe, Rob Herron, Jade Ma, Samuel Nicholas, Pierce Rogan, Louis Stockil, Joaquin Pedro Valdes, Brad Veitch, Gabriella Williams, Zheng Xi Yong and Sian Yeo.

Martin’s West End credits include Travesties at the Apollo Theatre and Merrily We Roll Along at the Harold Pinter Theatre. Santos is a recording and concert artist in the Philippines. Her theatre credits include Rak Of Aegis and Maynila Sa Mga Kuko Ng Liwanag.

They join Red Concepción as The Engineer, Sooha Kim as Kim, Ashley Gilmour as Chris, Ryan O’Gorman as John and Gerald Santos as Thuy. At certain performances The Engineer is played by Christian Rey Marbella, and Kim is played by Joreen Bautista.

The new production opened in the West End in March 2014 and won nine WhatsOnStage awards. An adaptation of Puccini's Madame Butterfly, the action is set in the Vietnam War where 17 year-old Kim is forced to work in a bar where she meets and falls in love with an American GI.

In WhatsOnStage's five star review of the UK tour, reviewer Diane Parkes said the show feels as current today as it did when it first performed in London.

Miss Saigon runs in Southampton until 17 March before touring to Manchester, Bristol, Plymouth, Norwich, Bradford, Sunderland and Zurich.
