A musical theatre bar in Soho has closed its doors.

The Room Where It Happens was known for its showtune sing-alongs and singing servers, regularly featuring live performers taking audience requests. Located at 5 Greek Street, the venue offered themed nights, bottomless brunches and more, with late-night hours.

The concept was developed by Tristan Moffat, former operations director at the Piano Works, alongside Sing Easy and Overtures.

A statement on social media confirmed:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are sad to announce that we are closing immediately at 5 Greek Street. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

The caption read: “Thank you all so much for the memories, and we hope we’ll see you again.”
