Marti Pellow is returning to the role of the narrator, following his West End turn in Willy Russell‘s long-running musical Blood Brothers at the Manchester Opera House.

Pellow, who also recenty starred in an eight-month UK tour playing the title roles in the musical Jekyll and Hyde, began playing the narrator in the West End on 1 November 2011 for a limited time.

Blood Brothers,
which premiered in 1983 and has been at the West End’s Phoenix

secret. The score includes “A Bright New Day”, “Marilyn Monroe” and
the emotionally charged finale song “Tell Me It’s Not True”.

Since rising to fame as the lead singer of Wet Wet Wet, Marti Pellow has built a successful theatre career, with credits including Chicago (West End) and The Witches of Eastwick (tour), and co-starring with Josh Groban in the Chess in Concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Blood Brothers is at the Manchester Opera House from 18 – 30 June.
