Lucie Jones shortlisted for UK Eurovision entry

The ”Rent” actress is one of six acts in the running to represent the UK in Kyiv in May

Lucie Jones has been shortlisted to be the UK's entry at this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

The Welsh actress, currently starring in the UK tour of Rent, will compete with five other acts on BBC Two on 27 January at 7.30pm, with the winner decided by a public vote.

In a review of Rent, WhatsOnStage described Jones' voice as "breathtaking".

Her entry, "Never Give Up On You", can be heard below. She will compete against Danyl Johnson, Holly Brewer, Olivia Garcia, Nate Simpson and Salena Mastroianni. All the entried can be viewed here.

The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Ukranian capital Kyiv on 13 May.
