We run through what’s coming into the new year

It’s Christmas week! And for many, getting out to the theatre isn’t as easy as it could be, so watching some stagey treats on the small screen is an easy alternative.
After scouring through What’s on TV (the magazine, no relation), we’ve assembled an array of live stage broadcasts or theatre-adjacent shows/films coming over entire festive period.
Some hot tips include Strange Journey, the documentary about the making of the Rocky Horror Show, as well as the Tea with Judi Dench on 22 December.
We’ve already given a comprehensive run-down of the BBC’s festive offerings this year, including the Barbican production of Kiss Me, Kate.
