Lil' Chris death caused by hanging, inquest hears

The ”Loserville” star was described by his family as a ‘huge personality’

The death last month of actor and singer Chris Hardman, known as Lil' Chris, was caused by hanging, an inquest has heard.

Hardman, whose starred in the premiere of the musical Loserville, was found dead at his home in Lowestoft on 23 March. He was 24.

His family released a statement following his death calling him a "huge personality who will be missed by everyone who knew him".

Lil' Chris found fame on the Channel 4 series Rock School. He released his debut album in 2006 and subsequently hosted his own talkshow Everybody Loves Lil' Chris on Channel 4.

Suffolk coroner Peter Dean said: "He had been found hanging at his home by a friend. Emergency services were called but attempts at resuscitation failed."

The inquest at St Margaret's House in Lowestoft has been adjourned until July 28.

"I would like to offer my thoughts and condolences to the family, friends and all those close to him for their loss," Dean added.
