Janie Dee and Joanna Riding will return to the roles of Julie Jordan and Carrie Pipperidge in a special concert production of Carousel at Cadogan Hall this summer.

Both Dee and Riding won Olivier Awards for their performances in the National Theatre production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's iconic musical in 1992, directed by Nicholas Hytner, and are currently appearing together in the National's hit production of Follies.

The pair will be joined by Hadley Fraser (Young Frankenstein) who takes on the role of Billy Bigelow. Further star casting for the concert is to be announced.

The 1945 musical, Rodgers and Hammersmith's second, follows carousel barker Bigelow who has a budding romance with millworker Jordan. It features numbers including "You'll Never Walk Alone", "Mr Snow" "June Is Bustin' Out All Over" and "If I Loved You".

The special concert at Cadogan Hall will feature a 31-piece orchestra conducted by Alex Parker. It will run on Sunday 19 May at 6.30pm.
