This year the Olivier Awards has teamed up with MasterCard, making big plans for their 38th annual ceremony
ITV has again been named the official television partner of the Olivier Awards, and will screen a highlights package following this year's ceremony.
A specific time for the programme will be announced closer to the awards, which take place on 13 April 2014 at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
ITV will also enhance their Olivier Awards partnership by sponsoring the live screening on a stage in Covent Garden piazza, which is free for the public.
Meanwhile, Claudia Winkleman will host a new highlights programme on BBC Radio 2, to be broadcast at 6pm 18 April. The station will not broadcast the ceremony live this year.
Voting for the BBC Radio 2 Audience Award is now open for the public, and runs until 4 March.
The Oliviers are teaming with Acting for Others this year, a theatrical charity that gives financial aid and emotional support to entertainers experiencing difficult times. To help raise money for the charity, a ‘special shopping’ event will be hosted at Fenwick of Bond Street on 10 April.
Nominations for the 38th Olivier Awards will be announced on 10 March 2014 at Rosewood London.
