We grooved on down to ”Motown” for our latest stagey battle
Anyone that's seen Motown will likely have one question on their lips… "I wonder who's the stagiest between Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson?" We popped down to the Shaftesbury Theatre to put Berry (Cedric Neal) and Smokey (Obioma Ugoala) to the test.
Directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, the show features songs such as "My Girl", "What's Going On", "Dancing in the Street", "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough".
Gordy's label signed artists including Diana Ross and the Supremes, Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and The Temptations.
Motown The Musical runs at the Shaftesbury Theatre until 28 October 2017.
