The show starts performances this autumn
Complete casting has been revealed for the stage adaptation of 50 First Dates.
The new show is based on the 2004 romantic comedy starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. It follows Henry and Lucy as they fall in love, and he realises she suffers from short-term memory loss.
Written by David Rossmer and Steve Rosen, 50 First Dates will be directed and choreographed by multi-Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw.
As already revealed, Georgina Castle will play art teacher Lucy Whitmore, who believes every day is Sunday, 13 October, and Josh St Clair will play the womanising Henry.
Also set to star are Georgia Arron (Mean Girls) as Sharon/ensemble/cover Lucy, Aizaac Aruna (Stardust) as Miles/ensemble, Zoë Ann Bown (The Sound Of Music) as Miriam/ensemble, Emily Olive Boyd (Les Misérables) as Fran/ensemble, Greg Stylianou Burns (The Lightning Thief) as ensemble/cover Henry, Cole Dunn (Kinky Boots) as swing, Samuelle Durojaiye (The Buddy Holly Story) as swing, Paul Kemble (Cry-Baby the Musical) as swing, John Marquez as Marlin Whitmore, Natasha O’Brien (Starter for Ten) as Delilah/ensemble, Aiesha Naomi Pease as Ukulele Sue, David Pendlebury (The Phantom Of The Opera) as Sid/ensemble, Martha Pothen as Cora/ensemble, Ricky Rojas as Marco, Chad Saint Louis as Sandy, Samantha Thomas (Les Misérables) as swing, and Charlie Toland as Doug Whitmore.
The musical’s creative team includes set and costume designer Fly Davis, lighting designer Aideen Malone, video designer George Reeve, and sound designer Adam Fisher. Hair and makeup design is by Cynthia De La Rosa, orchestrations and arrangements are by Matthew Jackson and the musical supervision and musical director is Richard Beadle. The casting director is Natalie Gallacher for Natalie Gallacher and Pippa Ailion Casting. It is produced by ATG Productions, Bad Robot Live and Gavin Kalin Productions.
50 First Dates will play at the Other Palace from 14 September to 16 November 2025.
