Full casting has been announced for the UK tour of Duncan Macmillan's People, Places and Things, which opens at HOME in Manchester next month.

Jeremy Herrin will direct the previously announced Lisa Dwyer Hogg as Emma – the role originated by Denise Gough at the National Theatre – who will be joined by Michael Balogun (Shaun), Trevor Fox (Paul and Dad), Susan Lawson-Reynolds (Jodi), Ekow Quartey (Foster), Andrew Sheridan (Mark), Imogen Slaughter (Meredith), Aimee-Lou Wood (Laura) and Matilda Ziegler (Doctor and Mum).

Following it critically-acclaimed runs at the National Theatre and Wyndham's, People, Places and Things embarks on a major UK tour for Headlong in a co-production with the National Theatre, HOME and Exeter Northcott Theatre.

The play is about Emma, an actress who checks herself into rehab to combat her drug and alcohol addictions.

In her five-star review for WhatsOnStage, Daisy Bowie Sell said the production was "heady, superb and intoxicating".

People, Places and Things runs at HOME, Manchester from 28 September to 7 October, before touring to Oxford Playhouse (11 – 14 October), Bath Theatre Royal (17 – 21 October), Bristol Old Vic (24 – 28 October), Exeter Northcott Theatre (31 October – 4 November), Nuffield Southampton Theatres (7 – 11 November), Liverpool, Playhouse (14 – 18 November) and Cambridge Arts Theatre (21 – 25 November).
