Thom Southerland directs the first production in his season of musicals at the Charing Cross Theatre
Full casting has been announced for Titanic – the Musical at the Charing Cross Theatre, with Les Mis star Rob Houchen among those due to set sail next month.
The WhatsOnStage Award-winning musical, first seen at Southwark Playhouse in 2013, returns to London for a 10-week season from 28 May – 6 August.
Eight of the original cast members return: Scarlett Courtney, Matthew Crowe, Sion Lloyd, Shane McDaid, Philip Rham, Dudley Rogers, Victoria Serra and Judith Street.
They are joined by: David Bardsley, Alistair Barron, Helena Blackman, Scott Cripps, James Gant, Luke George, Douglas Hansell, Rob Houchen, Claire Machin, Jessica Paul, Peter Prentice, Dom Simpson.
Thom Southerland returns to direct alongside the same creative team from the Southwark Playhouse production.
Titanic is the first production in a major season of musicals announced last month by Southerland on his appointment as artistic director of Charing Cross Theatre.
Produced by Danielle Tarento, Steven M. Levy, Sean Sweeney and Vaughan Williams, Maury Yeston and Peter Stone’s musical is based on the stories of real people aboard the ill-fated ship. It opened on Broadway in 1997 and won five Tony Awards including Best Musical.
