Emmerdale duo star in Two at Above the Arts

Jamie Shelton and Chelsea Halfpenny will star in a rare London revival

Emmerdale's Jamie Shelton and Chelsea Halfpenny will star in a revival of Jim Cartwright's play Two next month.

Two, which will run at new studio venue Above the Arts from 8 to 22 April 2015, sees two actors take on the roles of twelve patrons of a pub in the north of England, hosted by its landlord and landlady.

It premiered at the Bolton Octagon in 1989 starring Sue Johnston and John McArdle, transferring to London's Young Vic the following year.

Two will be directed at the Arts will be directed by Darren R L Gordon. It's the inaugural production from Shrapnel Theatre, a London-based company formed by Paul Virides and Isla van Tricht.

Above the Arts, situated above the West End's Arts Theatre, launched last week with Rachel's Garden – a charity event running until 22 March.
