The team behind political play Counted? have put together an impressive line-up for a post-show talk about verbatim theatre tomorrow night (20 May). Following the performance tomorrow night, which starts at 7.30pm in the Debating Chamber at County Hall, a panel of verbatim theatre experts will meet to discuss the fast-growing genre.

The post-show discussion entitled Verbatim Theatre – A truly democratic theatre? will be chaired by Paul Taylor, the chief theatre critic at the Independent. He will be joined by Verbatim Theatre writers Alex Blythe (The Girlfriend Experience and Come Out Eli) and Robin Soans (Talking to Terrorists, A State Affair and Mixed Up North) and Out of Joint artistic director Max Stafford Clark.

Counted?, a coproduction between Look Left Look Right and the Roundhouse, is a documentary play about British democracy. It opened mid April in the run-up to the General Election and closes this weekend prior to a national tour.
