New thriller from the writer of ”The Woman in Black” set to scare audiences
Casting has been announced for Susan Hill's chilling new stage production, The Small Hand.
Hill, author of The Woman in Black which was adapted into a 2012 hit film starring Daniel Radcliffe, has struck again with a new thriller and promises it will "take audiences to a whole new level of terror".
Adapted from her 2010 novel, the play tells the story of antiquarian bookseller Adam Snow who accidently comes across a derelict Edwardian house after taking a wrong turn. Curiosity gets the better of him and he approaches the front door to take a closer look, but is hit with a chilling sensation as he feels a small cold hand reach for his own. Over the coming weeks, Snow suffers recurring nightmares and panic attacks and tries to find out more about the house and its occupants, while the small hand continues to reach out for him…
Leading the cast as Snow is Andrew Lancel, fresh from his West-End run in Epstein. Alongside him is Diane Keen (Rings on their Fingers, Doctors) and Robert Duncan (Drop the Dead Donkey, 12 Angry Men).
The Small Hand premieres it's UK tour on 7 October 2014 at the Theatre Royal Windsor and will continue throughout the UK ending at Pomegranate Theatre in Chesterfield on 22 November 2014.
