A festive Moomin show will arrive in London this winter.
Christmas Comes to Moominvalley was first seen last year. It brings together acrobatics and juggling for a unique adaptation of Tove Jansson’s The Fir Tree.
Commissioned last year to mark 80 years of the Moomins and 50 years of Jacksons Lane, the returning production is adapted and directed by Kaveh Rahnama.
Roleff Kråkström, managing director at Moomin Characters, commented: “Last year’s production of Christmas Comes to Moominvalley was an incredible success, and we are thrilled to see it return to Jacksons Lane. As we continue to celebrate 80 years of the Moomins, it’s a joy to share this unique adaptation of The Fir Tree with even more audiences.”
It’ll play at Jacksons Lane Arts Centre in north London from 5 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, with a press night set for 12 December 2025.
The show is designed by Alison Alexander, with music and sound designer Liam Quinn. It is commissioned by Moomin Characters in partnership with the Finnish Institute in the UK and Ireland. Casting is to be announced.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on 3 June via the venue website.
