The Old Red Lion will play host to the world premiere of Priestley’s comic thriller
Full casting has been announced for the world premiere of JB Priestley's Benighted, which opens at the Old Red Lion in December.
Directed by Stephen Whitson, the cast features Harrie Hayes (The Shape of Things), Tom Machell (NewsRevue), Ross Forder (The Sting), Michael Sadler (My Fair Lady), Jessica Bay (Birds of a Feather) and Matt Maltby (Much Ado About Nothing).
Based on Priestley's 1927 novel – which was adapted into the James Whale film The Old Dark House – Benighted is set during a stormy night in Wales and sees a couple forced to abandon their car and seek refuge in an old dark house.
The show has extended its run at the Old Red Lion for a week to 7 January.
Benighted runs at the Old Red Lion from 8 December to 7 January 2017, with previews from 6 December.
