Bryony Hannah to star in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Bartholomew Fair at Shakespeare's Globe as cast announced

The same cast will perform in two shows at the London venue

Casting has been announced for the Globe's upcoming productions of The Merry Wives of Windsor and Bartholomew Fair, directed by Elle While and Blanche McIntyre respectively.

Pearce Quigley (Hamlet) will play Falstaff in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Bryony Hannah (Call the Midwife) will play Mistress Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Grace in Bartholomew Fair, Jude Owusu (Tamburlaine) will play Frank Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Quarlous in Bartholomew Fair, Anita Reynolds (ear for eye) will play Mistress Quickly in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Dame Purecraft in Bartholomew Fair, Zach Wyatt (I and You) will play Fenton and Bardolph in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Cokes in Bartholomew Fair and Joshua Lacey (Twelfth Night) will play Abraham Slender and Robin in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Littlewit in Bartholomew Fair.

Forbes Masson (Little Shop of Horrors) will play George Page in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Wasp in Bartholomew Fair, Anne Odeke (Women in Power) will play Host and Peter Simple in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Mistress Overdo in Bartholomew Fair, Hedydd Dylan (Mother Courage) will play Sir Hugh Evans and Nym in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Winwife in Bartholomew Fair, Sarah Finigan (The BFG) will play Mistress Page and Richard Katz (1984) will play Doctor Caius and Pistol in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Leatherhead in Bartholomew Fair.

Boadicea Ricketts (East) will play Anne Page and John Rugby in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Win Littlewit in Bartholomew Fair and Dickon Tyrrell (Labour of Love) will play Robert Shallow in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Overdo in Bartholomew Fair.

Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor runs from 17 May to 12 October, while Ben Jonson's Bartholomew Fair runs from 23 August to 12 October. The Merry Wives of Windsor will be broadcast live into cinemas at 7.20pm on Thursday 20 June.
