Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters actor Bill Murray is to appear at the Southbank Centre for one night only in June.

The Academy Award-nominated actor will perform the UK premiere of his debut album New Worlds. Accompanied by a classical chamber trio – made up of Jan Vogler on cello, violinist Mira Wang, and pianist Vanessa Perez – Murray will perform a selection of texts from Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn to Truman Capote’s Breakfast at Tiffany's, as well as classic songs from the Gershwins, Bernstein and Van Morrison.

On the release of his first album, Murray said: "I am bathing in this experience, really. I can’t get enough of it."

The Southbank Centre date is part of a 2018 European tour which also includes a date at Edinburgh Festival hall in June.

Bill Murray, Jan Vogler & Friends: New Worlds plays Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall on Monday 4 June 2018.
