JM Barrie’s play runs at the theatre from December
Versailles star Alexander Vlahos is to take on the role of Captain Hook in the Park Theatre's upcoming revival of Peter Pan.
JM Barrie's play was first performed in 1904 and predates the novel, which was published in 1906. Vlahos joins Nickcolia King-N'Da as Peter Pan in the piece, which is directed by Jonathan O'Boyle.
The play is the story of the lost boy Peter Pan who was able to fly. This is a contemporary version which uses Barrie's original text. Five per cent of all royalties from this production will go directly to Great Ormond Street.
The cast also includes Rosemary Boyle as Wendy (Of Mice and Men), Adam Buchanan as Michael (As You Like It), Natalie Grady as Mrs Darling & Smee (This House), Jason Kajdi as John (Our House), and Harveen Mann (Bend it like Beckham) and Alfie Webster (Our Four Walls) in the ensemble.
It will be the first time the Park Theatre undertakes a show that features flying effects.
