Watch the company of Violet perform "On My Way" from Jeanine Tesori's musical, currently receiving its UK premiere at the Charing Cross Theatre.
The piece, which stars Kaisa Hammarlund in the titular role, is set in 1964 and follows a young woman, Violet, who leaves her home to explore the world beyond.
Violet has direction by Shuntaro Fujita, choreography by Cressida Carré, set design by Morgan Large, costume by Jonathan Lipman, lighting by Howard Hudson, sound by Andrew Johnson, and music direction by Dan Jackson.
The piece premiered Off-Broadway and won the Drama Critics' Circle Award and Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical, before transferring to Broadway where it was nominated for four Tony awards.
