Charlie Stemp and Danielle Hope to star in Snow White at the London Palladium
Charlie Stemp returns to the pantomime to be Prince Charming with a new star as Snow White
Charlie Stemp is to return to the London Palladium's pantomime this year, following his turn last year as Dick Whittington.
Stemp will be joined by Danielle Hope in the titular role of Snow White, joining the already announced cast which includes Dawn French as the Wicked Queen, Julian Clary as The Man in The Mirror, Paul Zerdin as Muddles, Nigel Havers as The Understudy and Gary Wilmot as Mrs Crumble. Strictly Come Dancing's Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace-Mistry will also star as The King and The Queen.
Hope has starred in pantomime before, taking on the role of Alice in Birmingham's 2016/17 pantomime Dick Whittington. Her previous credits include winning TV contest Over the Rainbow to star as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at the Palladium. She has also performed as Éponine in Les Misérables and ahead of Snow White she plays Sherrie in the UK tour of Rock of Ages.
Further casting includes Josh Bennett, Simeon Dyer, Craig Garner, Ben Goffe, Jamie John, Blake Lisle and Andrew Martin as The Magnificent Seven and ensemble members Faye Best, Myles Brown, Darragh Cowley, Ivan De Freitas, Scott English, Liz Ewing, Ross Finnie, Diana Girbau, Matt Holland, Abigayle Honeywill, Stevie Hutchinson, Jemima Loddy, Megan Louch, Mollie McGugan, James Paterson, Leanne Pinder, Oliver Roll, Jordan Rose, Aaron J Smith, Lucie-Mae Sumner, Carrie Sutton, Grant Thresh and Charlotte Wilmot along with The Palladium Pantoloons.
The show, directed by Michael Harrison, is the latest in the recent return of pantomime to the Palladium, which began in 2016 with Cinderella – and which won an Olivier Award. Snow White runs from 8 December to 13 January.
