Release date and first look revealed for Take That musical movie ”Greatest Days”

Elysian Film Group has revealed the release date and a first-look image for the film adaptation of Take That’s popular musical The Band.

Titled Greatest Days, the flick is set to hit cinemas across the UK and ROI on Friday,16 June. To celebrate the occasion, Take That will join a special premiere event in London on 15 June, with previews in cinemas nationwide the same night.

The movie follows five best friends who reunite after 25 years to attend one more concert by their favourite band. The story is about friendship, love, and reliving the glory days, and a helping of Take That’s hit songs.

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald, members of the iconic British boy band, serve as executive producers of the film. Directed by Coky Giedroyc (How to Build a Girl) and written by Tim Firth (Calendar Girls), Greatest Days boasts an ensemble cast featuring Aisling Bea, Alice Lowe, Jayde Adams, Amaka Okafor, and Marc Wootton.

Lara McDonnell, Jessie Mae Alonzo, Nandi Hudson, Carragon Guest, and Eliza Dobson also appear, along with Aaron Bryan, Joshua Jung, Dalvin Cory, Mark Samaras, and Mervin Noronha.
