Casting has been announced for Blood Knot at the Orange Tree Theatre.

Nathan McMullen (Misfits) and Kalungi Ssebandeke (Doctor Who) will star in the revival of Athol Fugard's play, which is directed by Matthew Xia.

The piece was originally written in 1961 and follows the story of two brothers who live together in Port Elizabeth. Because of the different shades of their skin, the two encounter very different problems as their lives progress.

Xia, recently announced as the new artistic director of Actors Touring Company, previously won the Genesis Future Director award at the Young Vic. His credits include Dublin Carol and Shebeen and he will helm the regional premiere of Kemp Powers' One Night in Miami later this year.

Blood Knot will have design by Basia Bińkowska, lighting by Ciaran Cunningham, sound design and composition by Xana, and casting by Sophie Parrott.

It runs from 8 March to 20 April.
