Full cast joining Freddie Fox has been announced for Edmond de Bergerac, which has its UK premiere at the Birmingham Rep in March before touring to York, Northampton, Cambridge and Richmond.

Henry Goodman will play Constant Coquelin, Josie Lawrence will play Sarah Bernhardt and Chizzy Akudolu will play Maria in the comedy, which opens on 15 March. Still running in Paris, Alexis Michalik's five-time Molière Award winning play appears in a new translation by Jeremy Sams, with direction by the Birmingham Rep artistic director Roxana Silbert. Edmond de Bergerac will be designed by Robert Innes Hopkins, with movement by Liam Steel, composition by Dave Price, sound design by Dan Hoole, lighting design by Rick Fisher, voice direction by Stephen Kemble and casting by Amy Ball.
