Meera Syal and David Walliams are among those taking part in a three-day festival at the Hampstead Theatre in March titled Page to Stage.

Artistic director Edward Hall said the festival will "give our audiences fresh insight into the way we make live performance".

A total of 30 events will discuss "the journey from a writer producing a play, novel, script or poem to its incarnation as a performance, whether play, ballet, opera, film, TV show or circus event."

Walliams will give a talk on his bestselling work for children, which includes The Boy in the Dress and Gangsta Granny.

Also taking part are: Ronni Ancona, Ian Bostridge, Fiona Bruce, Nica Burns, Sheila Hancock, Anthony Horowitz, Celia Imrie, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Lynda La Plante, Mark Lawson, Kathy Lette, Tim McInnerny, Kate Mosse, Paul O’Grady, Joe Penhall, Justine Picardie, Tim Piggot-Smith, Libby Purves, Jessica Raine, Nina Raine, Janet Suzman and Sylvia Young.

Page to Stage, which is produced by Issy van Randwyck, runs at Hampstead Theatre from 27 to 29 March 2015.
