In pictures: Stars descend on the Evening Standard Awards

The stars were out in full force last night for the Evening Standard Awards at the Old Vic.

The awards, which were presented by Rob Brydon and co-hosted by owner of the Evening Standard Evgeny Lebedev with Judi Dench and Ian McKellen, saw stars including James McAvoy, Shirley Bassey and Ralph Fiennes walk the red carpet.

Winners of the evening included Nicole Kidman, who won best actress for her role in Photograph 51, and Imelda Staunton who won in the best musical performance category for Gypsy.
