Brendan Coyle is to star in a new production of Conor McPherson's play St Nicholas at the Donmar Warehouse's studio space.

McPherson's one man play will be directed by Simon Evans in the Dryden Street Studio Space in London. It will be the first time McPherson and Coyle have collaborated since The Weir. The show will run in the theatre's intimate space from 10 September to 5 October and then will run from 9 October to 14 October as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival.

Tickets for the London performances of the show will be allocated via ballot, which will be open for entries by signing up to the Donmar's newsletter or Klaxon email lists.

Coyle's previous theatre credits include The Price, Mojo, Chain Play II, The Late Henry Moss and The Silver Tassie.

St Nicholas was first performed at the Bush Theatre in 1997 and follows a cynical and jaded theatre critic in his late 50s who falls for a beautiful young actress.
