Any Dream Runners-up Pose Teatro Challenge???

Bill Kenwright has taken a leaf out of theatre boyband Teatro’s book and hit upon another sure idea in forming his own boy band from the runners-up of the BBC Any Dream Will Do competition. The group, headlined by Craig Chalmers, features other ‘Josephs’ – Lewis Bradley, Chris Barton, Chris Crosby and Antony Hensen – who have all just recorded their debut album together, due for release on Monday (11 February).

The album matches the name of the band, “Dream On”, and Seamus Cullen and Johndeep More, also from Any Dream, will feature as guest artists. Kenwright said, “It was a real joy for me to see them all together in the studio. They looked sensational. They sounded terrific.” To promote the new album, they’ll all be starring in their own special one-off concert at the London Palladium on Sunday 17 February, singing live with special guests and promises of “other exciting on stage surprises…” A genuinely great idea? Or just further commercial exploitation of the Joseph brand? Time will tell…
