We spoke with writer and composer Kirsten Childs, and cast members Karis Jack and Llandyll Gove to find out more about The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, opening at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East on 8 February.
Childs' musical, which is directed by Josette Bushell-Mingo with choreography by Mykal Rand, is a coming-of-age story about an African-American girl who dreams of becoming a dancer.
The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin runs at the Theatre Royal Stratford East from 8 February to 11 March, and at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry from 5 to 15 April.
